RVMS is proud to have Mr. Carson Merrill as our 7th grade Science teacher. He also has a daily morning duty at the crosswalk on Main Street and helps our students stay safe while crossing the busy road in the morning. He's working with his classes and learning how to develop a strong hypothesis and be able to create and identify quantitative and qualitative analysis for a science lab. Thank you Mr Merrill for everything you do for our students!

RVMS Best Staff Ever award is passed on the week from Julie Brady to Special Education aide, Rowena Thompson. Julie says, "Rowena is such a thoughtful and caring person. She is always worried and concerned for others around her and her kindness is unmeasurable. She is always positive and makes working with her so enjoyable." We appreciate you Mrs. Thompson!

We will have a walk to school this Wednesday from 7:00-7:30 am. Drop you child off, and buses will drop off at the Apache County Library.

RVMS asks for community help with our food drive this year. Please send any donations of food with a middle school student or drop off in our front office. Thank you!

RVPS 2nd grade students had fun using their creativity to create models of landforms and water sources using play-dough and their knowledge from the geography lessons taught in class.

RVES students had a blast today playing football with our SSO. We love this program and the fact that our kiddos get to have good interactions with the Sherrif's deputies and RVPD officers.

RVMS Best Teacher Ever award passed on from Tawna Brown to Kim Morgan this week. Mrs. Brown says, "I admire Kim for the amount of time, energy, and creativity she puts into her class. her displays of the students' artwork add so much to our school. Not only that, but she makes sure our students are represented at the fair and elsewhere in the community. She also is RVHS Dance team sponsor, dedicating more of her time to RVUSD students' success. She is a wonderful asset to our school! " We appreciate you Mrs Morgan!

Elks Super Star Award goes to...Mrs. Norma Shepherd! 👏 Quietly making a big difference every day, Mrs. Shepherd is one of the kindest and most caring members of our school community. She works behind the scenes with our English language learners, offering patient support, gentle encouragement, and a warm smile that helps every student feel seen and valued. Mrs. Shepherd’s heart shines brightly in all she does. We are so grateful for the compassion, dedication, and calm positivity she brings to our school family! Mrs. Deeran recognized Mrs. Shepherd with the award.

She cares about the students and staff and it shows in the way she carries herself throughout the day." Best Teacher Ever award passed from Social Studies teacher, Ryan Lloyd to ELA Teacher, Tawna Brown. Ryan says, "Tawna is a great colleague and teacher. You're doing something right when students are talking about how much they enjoyed a lesson. I heard several stories from students about their Socratic Seminar and was even told I need to try it out. On top of that, she brought our school's spirit line back to life. It's been great to see all the hard work the ladies put in on the sidelines during the games." Thank you Ms. Brady and Ms. Brown for all you do for our staff and students! ❤️

Congratulations to RVMS 7th grade softball and the Cheer team on a great season! 7th grade softball finished 6-1, gained lots of experience and showed improvement. Cheer had an amazing fall season as well and were even invited to do a pep assembly for the Primary school! Good luck to the RVMS 8th grade softball team in the White Mountain League finals on Saturday! They beat Holbrook yesterday, 6-5 to secure their spot. They will take on the Show Low/Snowflake winner at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Show Low High School. Let's go Lady Elks! ❤️🥎
