RVMS beat Blue Ridge 8-2 to advance to the championship game today at 3:00 against the Winslow/Mogollon winner! Great game girls! Game is on Let's Go Elks at Show Low High School field. Let's goooooo Lady Elks! ❤️🥎❤️

RVMS Art students and teacher, Kim Morgan, got our scarecrow submitted for the Town of Eagar contest at Cowpuncher Pond with 2 minutes to spare! Shout out to our groundskeeper, Nathan Pulsipher, who fixed the stand, hauled it to the park and set it up. Jane Finch, our librarian, sewed his vest overnight, and Cassie Gonzales, our choir/theater teacher donated costume pieces. The kids in the photo plus not pictured Korie Crick, Pepper Morgan, and McKenzie Slade were involved in making him. Team effort for sure ❤️! We are proud of our RVMS scarecrow!

With a 4-2 win over St Johns yesterday in the quarterfinals, RVMS 8th grade softball team advances to the White Mountain League finals on Saturday, October 3 vs. Blue Ridge 11:00. RVMS 7th grade football game was moved to Holbrook on Friday and since players and parents will not be back yet, this event is moved to Saturday. This is for all 7th and 8th graders. Should be a fun night and we hope you can join us!

RVMS Heart of the Herd award is passed on this week from Becca Kipf to Melissa Tippitt, Math teacher. Becca nominated Mrs. Tippit because, "She is a teacher that really cares about the kids. She balances a lot with a wide range of ability levels. She is willing to help kids be successful in all of their classes. For me, she has helped me work out ways to be better at meeting the needs of the kids in my class. She has also been an ear when I needed to talk. I appreciate her professionalism and her dedication. I think she ROCKS!" Congratulations Mrs. Tippit!

RVMS would like to congratulate the winners of the White Mountain Arts Alliance 50th anniversary Muhammad Ali art competition! 1st place- Avery Browning, 2nd place- Berkley Baca, and 3rd place- Carter Curtis. The theme is centered on the historical life experiences in sports, philanthropy, or the characteristics of Ali that defined his life and humanitarian work. Ali's six core principles are Confidence, Conviction, Dedication, Giving, Respect, and Spirituality. These students' artwork will be on display at the Arts Alliance building located at 251 Penrod Rd. in Show low from October 8-11 during the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Congratulations to these amazing students and thank you to RVMS Art teacher, Kim Morgan, for helping our students participate in this event and also to Kenny Cail and Marilyn Dyer for organizing the contest! ❤️

RVPS has a Trophy Elk for each grade level class with the best attendance! The students in Ms. Hyer’s, Mrs. Baca’s, and Mrs. Slade’s class were excited to earn the monthly award and take a class photo with the Trophy Elk! Great job to our Lil' Elks!

Pizza & Dance Party with the Principal was a blast! 🍕 🎉 Thank you to all those who donated to our classrooms, we will share all of our cool activities and events that were supported! Go Elks!

🌟 RVPS Elks Super Star ⭐️ The staff at RVPS is full of wonderful people doing great things to benefit our students. It was hard to make a choice on who to nominate. However, nothing speaks louder than words spoken by a teacher’s former students. Mrs. Turley is often mentioned in my room as being fun, kind, and the favorite teacher. She is loved by students and staff alike for the joy she shares with others. Mrs. Turley is a caring teacher who makes lasting memories with her students. One of the favorites is her “see you later” goodbye song sung as they walk out the door each day. Mrs. Turley is my nominee for the Elk Superstar Award. Nominated by Mrs. Lee.

4:00–6:00 p.m.

Friday, September 18
9:00 a.m.–noon

Round Valley Primary School and Round Valley Elementary School conferences will be scheduled individually by each teacher.
