Hello RVMS parents and families,
Here is some updated information for our RVMS activities for Tuesday, May 20, 2025:
8th grade promotion/awards assembly will be at 9:00 a.m. in the HS Auditorium. 8th graders will need to be there by 8:30 and will receive their class shirt. We are so excited to be able to have our assembly! Thank you to all the hard work of the firefighters for making this able to happen!
Our campus will be open for students from 12:00-2:00. They can pick up yearbooks in the office during this time. 6th grade will start their awards at 12:00 in Ms. Sunshine's classroom, 7th grade will start their awards at 1:00 in the cafeteria, 8th grade can pick up yearbooks and get them signed in the gym anytime between 12-2.
We can't wait to see our students! If you are unable to bring them tomorrow, let us know if you have any books to return or need to pick up the yearbook. Our office will be closed on Tuesday from 2-3:30 for our staff awards and celebration, but we will be open on Wednesday from 7-3 and on Thursday from 7-12. Our summer hours are Monday-Thursday from 7-3 if you need to reach us for any reason after this week.
Please let me know if you have any questions. It has been a blessed year with our students and we hope everyone has a safe and happy summer! ❤️

RV,
Round Valley Unified School District will continue with digital learning for the remainder of the school year. Your child’s teacher will be reaching out with important details regarding end-of-year assignments, the final due date for grades, and information about end-of-year check-out and/or classroom celebrations happening on Tuesday from 12:00–2:00 PM.
We remain optimistic about being able to hold our end-of-year celebrations as planned. At this time, we are still moving forward with the following events:
Round Valley Middle School Promotion – Tuesday, May 20th at 9:00 AM (RVHS Auditorium)
Kindergarten Promotion – Wednesday, May 21st at 10:00 AM (RVHS Auditorium)
Round Valley High School Graduation – Wednesday, May 21st at 7:00 PM (Dome)
Seniors may have other activities happening that will be shared by the Administration. If there are any changes to these dates, times, or locations, we will communicate them to you as soon as possible. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your school office with any questions or concerns.

RV,
I hope you and your loved ones are safe and well. We certainly didn’t expect our school year to come to an end like this. This time of year is normally filled with celebration and recognition—for your students’ achievements and the hard work they've put in all year. While things may look different, we are committed to making sure those important moments still happen.
Looking ahead to next week:
There is a chance that we will not return to in-person school. We will make a final decision by Saturday evening and share an update as soon as we can.
In the meantime, our principals and teachers are preparing for the possibility of ending the school year online, just in case that becomes necessary.
As for graduation and promotion ceremonies--our first choice is to hold these events as normal. We want nothing more than to see our seniors graduate in the Dome and our 8th graders walk in celebration. However, we are also reaching out to neighboring districts to explore alternative options if needed so that we don’t have to postpone these important milestones.
We will continue to keep you updated as new information becomes available.
Thank you,
Slade Morgan, Superintendent

RVMS would like to thank 8th grader, Craig Choate, for going above and beyond for his school. He vowed to cut his hair an inch for every $1,000 raised for the Color Run. He collected over $1,500 of donations himself, cut all his hair off today during class, and donated his hair! Thank you Craig for helping our school and especially for helping someone in need! ❤️

RVMS Skate Club went on their annual trip to Apache Junction and Manzell Skate Parks last week in the big city. Thank you to Mr. Ryan Bottachiari for being their advisor and providing this awesome opportunity for our students! Go Elks!

Parents, we're doing a final reminder about our reunification drill for tomorrow, Thursday. All students will ride buses over to the dome. We encouraged all parents, that are able to, to participate in picking your child up from 12:30-3:00pm. For any students not picked up during the drill: Bus riders will load buses to go home at the regular time. They are just leaving from the Dome instead of the elementary school. Parent pick up students may be picked up from the dome, after 3 o'clock. If you are picking up after 3 o'clock, you don't have to show ID. The normal proceedures will take place in front of the dome. Walkers will be bussed to the elementary to walk home from there.
The most important thing is that the person picking up the student between 12:30-3:00pm needs to be on the school records or they will not be released to that person. Otherwise, your student may be picked up after 3 o'clock without any ID necessary, if that is their normal means of going home. Otherwise it will be by bus. If you have any questions, please call the office. Thank you for all your cooperation!

RVMS is excited to host the Superhero BMX Stunt team on Thursday, May 1st at 2:30 p.m. They are bringing a powerful message to our students about motivation and achieving goals, making responsible choices, and anti-bullying. Thank you to the hard work of our students and teacher, Jenniffer Leonhardt, for earning funds from our Color Run fundraiser from last year, to bring this amazing opportunity to our students! If you would like to donate to our Color Run fundraiser for this year, this program benefits many programs in our school. You can donate here: http://give.mybooster.com/RVMS-Color-Run
We are thankful to Wes McBride and Let's Go Elks for streaming and recording this program! Go Elks! ❤️
