GO ELKS! ❤️

This is tonight for all middle schoolers! Fun!

The Piece-by-Piece Award goes to Elizabeth Bigelow. She makes our school go 'round. Her dedication to our school and its appearance is amazing! She greets everyone with a smile and a hello. Her work does not go unnoticed. I appreciate the little things she does, and of course, the BIG things. She works hard all the time! Because of her, our school is a safe and healthy environment. Thank you, Elizabeth!

As a reward for our school reaching its goal of $10,000 for its fundraiser. We had human sundaes. Thank you to all those willing to participate and allow more students to get drawn to participate. Mr. Lozoya (5th-grade Reading), Ms. Elizabeth Bigelow (one of our superstar custodians), Mr. Ronnie Morris (one of the awesome district IT employees), Officer Rivera (one of our RVPD SSO officers), and Mrs. Eagar (our principal). We had an amazing Red Ribbon Week assembly presented by the Legacy Leadership group, followed by our human sundae. Thank you to everyone who helped out! We love RVES! Our fundraiser money will go to help provide some type of shade for our playground and allow teachers to get supplies or supplemental resources they might want. Thank you to all who donated!!!

RVMS shout out to Sheriff's Deputy Pacl for spending time with our students during ELKS time today for club day. Deputy Pacl showed off some awesome skateboard tricks to the Skate Club that had everyone cheering! We are so thankful for your time, your positive energy, and for being on our campus keeping our students and staff safe. Thank you for connecting with our kids and showing them that law enforcement can roll right alongside them! ❤️

RVMS Wrestling and Volleyball have their first matches today! Wrestling has a home multi meet today at 3:00 and Volleyball is away at Canyon Day. Good luck and GO ELKS! ❤️

RVMS had a guest visitor today and it was awesome for our students! Dr. Luce from the University of Arizona came to visit our Honor Band and gave us great instruction on how to play with better intonation by keeping our knees flexible and looking left. He demonstrated many skills and played a beautiful song for us.🎶 Thank you Mrs. Shumway for arranging this!

RVMS is proud to have Mr. Carson Merrill as our 7th grade Science teacher. He also has a daily morning duty at the crosswalk on Main Street and helps our students stay safe while crossing the busy road in the morning. He's working with his classes and learning how to develop a strong hypothesis and be able to create and identify quantitative and qualitative analysis for a science lab. Thank you Mr Merrill for everything you do for our students!

RVMS Best Staff Ever award is passed on the week from Julie Brady to Special Education aide, Rowena Thompson. Julie says, "Rowena is such a thoughtful and caring person. She is always worried and concerned for others around her and her kindness is unmeasurable. She is always positive and makes working with her so enjoyable." We appreciate you Mrs. Thompson!

We will have a walk to school this Wednesday from 7:00-7:30 am. Drop you child off, and buses will drop off at the Apache County Library.

RVMS asks for community help with our food drive this year. Please send any donations of food with a middle school student or drop off in our front office. Thank you!
