5th RR coloring contest
RVMS celebrated Red Ribbon week this week which highlights the importance of living a drug free life. The Apache County Youth Council and Legacy Leadership club provided our teachers with the "Natural High" message through announcements, links to videos, and daily discussion questions. A party was held at The Lodge on Wednesday for our middle school students and students signed a pledge to "Be Kind to Your Mind" and is displayed outside of our cafeteria. Our 5th graders also displayed a wall with artwork about making better choices. Thank you so much to Shannon Latham, Amber Baca, Jessica Hamblin, Danielle Whitaker, Vanessa Cisco, Guy Phelps, and The Lodge for all your efforts this week in bringing a great message to our students!

The RVMS FBLA chapter was able to participate in a leadership conference hosted by the Phoenix Suns. Students were able to hear from a panel of sports industry professionals and gain insight into the business side of sports. They participated in workshops that focused on teamwork, communication, and leadership. They finished off the night by watching the Suns game and seeing all the work that goes into producing a professional game. Great experience for our students! Thank you to FBLA advisor, Celina Goodman, and Olivia Bliss for chaperoning!
