Fourth grade classes completed an experiment based on research by Japanese Scientist, Masaru Emoto. One class took two roses and for one week said kind words to one rose and mean words to the other rose. The rose with mean words wilted quickly, and the one with kind words remained pretty. Another fourth grade class spoke and also wrote nice/mean words to jars of rice. The rice jars with mean words molded and the nice jars stayed white. We discussed that words are powerful when you speak and write/type (such as social media) them. Students agreed WORDS ARE POWERFUL! Thank you to our AMAZING Fourth Grade Teachers for creating such a great life lesson!
