Dear Round Valley Unified School District Community,
At approximately 4:10pm today, RVUSD Bus 37 was involved in a minor traffic accident in Springerville. The bus was not moving when it was struck by another vehicle moving at a low rate of speed. The bus was carrying 5 students at the time of the accident and no students were injured. Thank you to all of our first responders for helping our students.

We hope this email finds you well. We would like to thank all of you who have completed and shared the Apache Business and Community survey and offer a friendly final reminder to those who have yet to complete or share the survey.
Your participation is key in the process of creating a three-year community development action plan for Apache County. A plan which aims to articulate a vision, mission, and objectives for the County to continue fostering development with a focus on infrastructure, tourism, workforce, and business.

RVMS 7th grade football finished their season undefeated yesterday with a win over Show Low!!! Great job players and coaches!!! GO ELKS!!!
RVMS 8th grade softball team advances to the White Mountain League Final 4 on Saturday by defeating Holbrook today 17-2! They will play Payson on Saturday at 11:00 in Payson in the semifinals. Winner advances to the championship! We are proud of you, GO ELKS!!!
Shout out to RVMS Choir teacher, Tara Cluff, and Ms. Martin's homeroom 5th grade choir! They performed this week for parents and staff members and were amazing! Music performed:

Next 5th grade homeroom performance will be Ms. Stroud's class on December 12. Great job!
Fourth grade classes completed an experiment based on research by Japanese Scientist, Masaru Emoto. One class took two roses and for one week said kind words to one rose and mean words to the other rose. The rose with mean words wilted quickly, and the one with kind words remained pretty.
Another fourth grade class spoke and also wrote nice/mean words to jars of rice. The rice jars with mean words molded and the nice jars stayed white. We discussed that words are powerful when you speak and write/type (such as social media) them. Students agreed WORDS ARE POWERFUL! Thank you to our AMAZING Fourth Grade Teachers for creating such a great life lesson!
We will be having 2 Bond Election Information Meetings. First meeting is tonight at 6:00 PM and another on Wednesday October 25 at 6:00 PM.

Community Blood Drive
Dining with the Dean was a great time! Lunch, s'mores, and fun conversations for these awesome students! Go Elks!
RVMS "Wild Thing" scarecrow created by Kim Morgan's art classes and also huge shout out to librarian and sewing teacher, Mrs. Jane Finch who made the costume and crown from scratch! Great job! The scarecrow is on display on main street on the RVMS electronic sign as part of the Town of Eagar scarecrow contest.
In the month of September, First Grade focused on what makes a community. We talked about the people and the places! So many things are needed to make a community fun and functional- from the school to the Sonic 😉. Thank you to our First Grade Team for creating such a fun and creative learning experience!
Fall Break begins this Thursday! There will be NO SCHOOL October 5th through October 9th. Have a safe and happy Fall Break!
RVMS student Flu Immunization Clinic will be October 12th in the afternoon. Consent forms will be sent out October 2nd. Please complete and return ASAP. If the FORM is not returned your child WILL NOT BE IMMUNIZED.
