RVMS "Tatt the Teacher" fundraiser for Student Council went well last week! Students purchased tattoos throughout the week to put them on their teachers to wear throughout the day. Mr. Merrill received the most, so fun!
RVMS Homecoming float won 2nd place in the Homecoming parade last week! Thank you to Kim Morgan and her amazing art students for helping with the float and also to Student Council advisors Darla Udall and Jenniffer Leonhardt! Go Elks! ❤️
RVMS Best Teacher Ever award for this week is passed on from Ms. Kipf to Mr. Ryan Lloyd. Ms. Kipf says, "He is a great teacher who cares about the success of his students. He has engaging lessons that teach both history and include skills that will make his students better learners. He is always willing to go to their games or activities. He is willing to help out when asked even if that includes helping out with the 8th grade trip. He is someone I can go to for ideas or help with students. He is kind and knowledgeable and is here for the kids. I am honored to know and work with him." Congratulations Mr. Lloyd!

Today, RVMS honored the lives lost on September 11, 2001, with a moving flag ceremony. 🇺🇸 Our Honor Choir led us in the National Anthem, followed by a moment of silence accompanied by the solemn sound of “Taps” performed by members of our Honor Band. In addition, Social Studies teacher, Ryan Lloyd, shared some of the statistics and heroic efforts of first responders on that fateful day. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of unity, remembrance, and honoring the sacrifices made on that day.
Our school is honored to have 3 teachers who are retired military: Ryan Lloyd, Air Force; Jenniffer Leonhart, Navy; Ryan Bottachiari, Marines. We were also joined by recent graduate from RVHS and special guest, Vinny Bottachiari, who just completed boot camp for the Marines and is headed to Camp Pendleton. Our veteran teachers will be the Grand Marshals in the Homecoming parade tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.

Kynzley Anderson was the RVMS Best Dressed winner yesterday for Homecoming dress up day, Y2K! She wore her mother's 8th grade graduation shirt from Y2K to school, very clever idea! Thank you for your school spirit Kynzley! Go Elks! ❤️
RVMS 6th graders stole the show today for our Homecoming dress up day! The assignment was to dress like your younger self and these kids all scored 100%!

RVMS would like to congratulate our groundskeeper, Nathan Pulsipher, for being awarded our BEST STAFF EVER award this week. Nathan has done an amazing job getting our campus ready to start the year and continues to go above and beyond in his job daily. Thank you, Nathan, for all that you do everyday for our campus and for our staff and students! You are an awesome addition to our team and we appreciate you! He will nominate and pass on the award to a fellow support staff member in the next few weeks. Go Elks! ❤️
RVMS Youth Council and the 3rd period Enrichment class presented persuasive Shark Tank projects last week. Topics ranged from changing dress code to installing new fiber optic Internet lines. Great job to our students for their hard work and thank you to Amber Baca, Danielle Whitaker, Jessica Hamblin, and Shannon Latham for working with our students!
