RVPS Elks Super Star Award!
Carlie Baca is a dedicated employee at Round Valley Primary School. She may have been hired as an instructional kindergarten aide but she has personally extended her duties far above and beyond. She took on the role as our transportation coordinator, spending countless hours organizing aides and teachers and helping to keep our carpool running efficiently and safely for our students. Carlie maintains a cheerful attitude amidst chaos and is a go-to-employee when there are issues to be solved. Carlie has also stepped in as occasion needs to help teach classes, getting her substitute certificate in order to help out. Carlie has desires to be a teacher and while embracing her employment wholeheartedly, she also attends classes to get her teaching degree. Carlie is a valued friend and employee with a great sense of humor and we are lucky to have her at our school! Carlie was nominated by Kristen Gillespie, last year's Instructor of the year for RVPS.
RVPS Staff is excited to see all of the smiling faces tomorrow morning! It’s going to be a great year!
** We are excited to have our playground updated with turf. Installation took longer than expected, but students will still have the basketball courts and other outdoor play areas available. The playground equipment area will open back up shortly.

Kindergarten teachers will contact parents and schedule individualized meet the teacher times on August 6th & 7th. This will allow teachers to meet each student individually.

Miss Linda sure is appreciated for all she does at RVPS! Linda does everything from giving awards, answering ALL of the questions, being our health aide, keeping our school organized, putting the flags up and taking them down every day, all while having fabulous attitude! Linda makes RVPS a better place and we love and appreciate her! Happy Administrative Professionals Day!
Thank you to WMRMC for donating Easter Eggs filled with goodies for the RVPS Easter Egg Hunt! Our Lil’ Elks were all smiles!
The reunification drill for RVPS was a success. Thank you to all of the staff and volunteers who helped to make the process run smoothly. Our students had fun spending the time playing red rover, duck duck goose, red light green light, dance telephone, and rock-paper-scissors. Thank you teachers for making the day an adventure for the students! Our RV Community is the best! Go Elks!
The Primary School held our Second Annual Community Story Time. Our teachers read books and provided activities inspired by the books they read. First Things First attended with information and resources for families and teachers. They provided free books to every child that attended. The Apache County Youth Council provided information on how screen time affects children and gave parents ideas on how to set appropriate limits for children. We are already looking forward to next year’s event! Thank you to our dedicated Primary School Teachers and all who attended the event!

RVPS 1st Graders had a blast at Hancock Farms in SJ. The students learned about corn, made popcorn, followed clues to make it through the corn maze, and saw farm animals! 🌽 🐷 🐐
Thank you to the ADCRR for donating over 60 pumpkins to the primary school. COII B. Cotney and the ADCRR- Winslow/Apache Unit planted, grew, and delivered the pumpkins. We’ll share more photos of the crafts, science experiments, and more that the teachers have planned for the festive donation! 🎃
