Lisa Pifer is a crucial part of the 2nd grade team! She is always working quietly behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly and successfully. Whether she’s helping in classrooms to support our teachers or teaching 1-on-1 and small group sessions with students who need an extra boost, Lisa stays busy all day long.
You can always count on her to keep things safe and sound from the playground to the cafeteria, and she’s always willing to lend a hand wherever it’s needed, always with a fun attitude! Our students feel safe with Mrs. Pifer and always know they can go to her with any of their needs. Mrs. Salazar is a hands on leader who brings energy and positivity into every corner of the school. Always cheerful, she greets students and staff with a smile and a genuine interest in how everyone is doing. Rather than staying behind a desk, she is actively involved in
classrooms, hallways, and school events, offering guidance and support whenever it’s needed. Known for her hilarious and creative approaches, she often organizes fun activities for students and staff themed spirit days, friendly competitions, or surprise games that bring laughter to the school day. helpful and compassionate nature makes her approachable to everyone. By leading with enthusiasm, humor, and care, she creates an environment where all students and staff feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow. This is why Mrs. Salazar is a true ELK SUPERSTAR to the “Lil’ Elks” of Round Valley Primary School. It is truly a great place for our littlest elks to grow and make memories, thanks to the dedication that shines through as she makes each child’s time at school fun and memorable in everything she does. The Daddy Daughter Dance was an experience provided by an amazing group of people. We would like give a huge THANK YOU to Sarae Martin, Andrea Pena, the RVHS Travel Club and the NAU Christian Challenge group who brought volunteers to RV to do a service day for our community. While some cleaned the yards of elderly, a group of over 25 students spent the day at RVPS creating decorations, putting up decorations, and creating the best memories for our students and families. It was all smiles at the dance and the decorations were so awesome they will stay up for a few weeks for our students to enjoy! We really have the most amazing teachers, staff, and students! We appreciate all you do to make memories for our students and families! Go Elks

Miss Natali Renteria was nominated by Kendra Strack!
I have a quote hanging in my room that says “No significant learning occurs without a significant relationship” When I see this quote I think of Natali Renteria. Natali builds significant relationships with the students she works with. I see this in the way the students respond to her. Natali is kind yet firm. The students know what the expectations are when working with Miss Natali. Natali’s job is not an easy job. She is constantly having to be aware of the students around her and their needs. She is loving and kind. She brings great knowledge to the classroom based on personal experiences. She is a great support to other staff members in the room and those that work with the same students. Natali is definitely an Elk superstar!

We are so incredibly proud to celebrate Kayla for achieving her National Board Certification! 🍎🎓
This is the "gold standard" in education, and it’s a true testament to her relentless dedication, late nights of hard work, and the heart she pours into her students every single day. Only a small percentage of teachers nationwide reach this milestone, and seeing her earn this distinction is no surprise to anyone who knows her.
Congratulations, Kayla! Our students and community are so lucky to have your expertise and passion. You earned this! 🎉
