RVUSD GIFTED MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of our rural gifted program is to cultivate the unique strengths and potential of gifted students by providing challenging, meaningful learning opportunities that encourage creativity, critical thinking and leadership. We honor the rich local traditions of our community– where hard work, resourcefulness and close-knit relationships are a way of life- by connecting learning to both local issues and other regional, and later, global perspectives.
Our program aims to empower students to explore beyond grade-level expectations while fostering respect for community values, traditions and our beautiful natural surroundings. Through project based learning, real-world problem solving and opportunities for innovation, we strive to help our high- ability learners become compassionate leaders, outside the box thinkers and life long learners who contribute meaningfully to their hometown and the wider world.
