Dear Parents and Community Members:
Summer
has flown by!
I would like to
again thank you for
the past year and
the positive
support and
encouragement we
have received from
parents and
community.
Lynette Carter our
current PR person is
taking on some added
responsibilities to
cover for an
employee that is ill
and will not be able
to put out the
current format of
our district
newsletter for a
time. I would
like to publicly
thank her for her
sincere and
wonderful effort she
put into the
publication of our
district newsletter.
I would like to share with you our focus and goals for the
coming year. We
will again focus on:
◙
Improving and
strengthening
relationships
between teachers,
students, and
parents. This
is one of the most
important areas
needed in having a
successful school
district and
community.
◙ The other
component of
stronger
relationships is
better
communication
between all parties
involved.
These two areas of
improvement will
bring trust, higher
morale and greater
sense of hope that
problems can be
solved.
◙ The third
area is
improved instruction
in the classroom to
meet the needs of
all children.
We call this
differentiated
instruction.
Our staff and
principals are
committed to
improving our
efforts so that we
become better at
what we do.
Our teachers are
sharing new ideas
with each other and
collaborating more
on their students.
This involved
process will take a
couple of years to
fully implement.
We feel as a school
district we have
work to do to become
a truly great
district. We
have the staff and
leadership to make a
great impact on the
lives of our
children to inspire
them to a high level
of excellence.
◙ We will also
need your help and
involvement during
this lifelong
process for your
children. I
have committed our
administrators to
finding ways to
increase parental
involvement in our
schools. If
you have any ideas
on how we can
improve making it a
more meaningful
experience please
email me at
tudall@elks.net
with any
suggestion(s) or
idea(s).
I feel very
fortunate and
grateful to be the
Superintendent of
the Round Valley
Unified
School District
#10. I would
like to thank our
Governing Board for their support and leadership in
developing such a
great school
district.
Please continue to
support them and
share with them
ideas on how we can
improve our efforts
on behalf of your
children.
Thank you again and
I look forward to
another meaningful
year in this
beautiful valley.
As I reflect on my
past two years as
Superintendent, I am
humbled by our
staff, parents, and
students. I
have had so much
support from staff
and parents
concerning student
education and how we
can improve.
As for our students,
what can I say
except they are
wonderful. I
visit with students
at all our schools
and am amazed by
their knowledge,
thirst for learning,
and their school
spirit. I am
very lucky to be the
Superintendent of
Round Valley Unified
School District. Your children are our number 1 priority!
Most of you received a letter from me at the end of June
2008 asking for your
help and support of
some changes we had
to make in meal
prices and cellular
telephone usage. At
their July 8, 2008
meeting the
Governing Board
approved increases
to student fees at Round Valley
High School. I have
included the meal
prices and RVHS
student fees in this
newsletter.
We are committed to updating the District Website so you
