The Elk 1939

Senior History

[Home] [1939] [Yearbooks]

On a bright September morning there were assembled on the front steps of R.V.H.S., thirty boys and girls, thus ushered our freshman year of high school, full of excitement and new experiences.
Our second year was outlet of adolescent enthusiasm, and as sophomores we took a great interest in all school activities, always working together climbing upward toward a higher goal.
With very serious faces we began our third year.  Our members even talented, intellectual, and active.  The events of this year; The Junior Prom, Junior Play, Junior and Senior Banquet, were all catalystic agents helping us to prepare for our last important step in high school.
Now we have completed that step, to the best of our ability.  We have had four years of hard work, fun, and fellowship together.  How many of us are prepared to start shifting for ourselves? Will we be able to meet and solve our problems in life when we have no one to help us over the hard places?  These are a few of the questions hat will confront us as we leave our high school.
May we climb to the highest and reach our goal.
